Aneta Krpekyan of GUSD Parents' Voices

Aneta Krpekyan has recently appeared at the June 6th protest and the June 20th protest. She was also at the August 8th, 2023 Board meeting where she compared GUSD to "Nazi, Germany [sic]" when they closed the building early due to credible threats against District staff.

Aneta Krpekyan's criticism of GUSD dates back to at least September 2020, when Krpekyan left a the review of GUSD on Yelp [pictured below]. Her location is listed as Monrovia, but she mentions "moving to Glendale." She also has an Amazon page for a romance trilogy she wrote. Her Facebook page lists her as "Young Adult" author. Her books include explicit sex scenes.

Aneta Krpekyan started to appear at GUSD public comment in 2021, and lists herself as a member of the Facebook group 'GUSD Parents' Voices' on one of her Instagram bios (she has several accounts.)

This "Parents' Voices" group began during the pandemic lockdown to criticize mask mandates and distance learning. The group also has posts against LGBTQ+ curriculum, school administrators and teachers, and inclusive policy. Krpekyan has appeared on OAN.

Aneta Krpekyan appears to have been actively promoting the "walkout" on June 5, 2023 to protest GUSD adopting a resolution declaring June Pride Month (a resolution that had been adopted for the previous 4 years without incident).

Aneta Krpekyan appears on several PRA requests to Glendale Unified with specific keywords that specifically target LGBTQ+ issues, including one listed below from April 2022.
